Terry G has addressed concerns from fans about his appearances at political events, clarifying that his performances do not imply political endorsement or affiliation.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Real Shareholders podcast, Terry G emphasized that he is an independent artist who simply shows up to do his job when hired. According to him, accepting performance gigs—regardless of who organizes them—should not be misunderstood as a show of political loyalty.
“People need to understand that as an artist, I get billed to perform,” Terry G said. “In today’s economy, any performance opportunity is a blessing. That doesn’t mean I support the party. I’m just there to do what I do best—entertain.”
Terry G further urged fans to judge him by his words and actions during events, rather than his mere presence. He pointed out that he never made political endorsements during such appearances.

He explained, “I’m so independent. I never told anyone to vote for APC or any other party. I simply went there to perform like every other artist. Why should mine be treated differently?”
Reposting a clip from the podcast, Terry G doubled down on his stance: “As an artist, I went to do my job. I am not affiliated to any party. Last time I’ll discuss this. Make una go stream.”
