In a statement released by his media aide, Ibrahim Umar of the Peter Obi Media Reach, Obi refuted speculation about a potential joint ticket with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. However, Peter Obi expressed openness to coalition talks—strictly on the condition that they are centered on resolving Nigeria’s most pressing issues.
“If any coalition is not focused on stopping the killings in Benue and Zamfara, reviving our economy, and making industries work again, count me out,” Peter Obi said, underscoring his commitment to a problem-solving agenda. “Nigeria is at war—we must act.”

Peter Obi pledged to stabilize the country within the first two years of his presidency and called on citizens to unite behind a national rescue effort. “Stability within two years is not a promise; it’s a commitment,” he declared.
Addressing the internal crisis within the Labour Party, Peter Obi disclosed that steps were underway to obtain Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognition for the Nenadi Usman-led faction in accordance with a Supreme Court ruling.
Peter Obi also reaffirmed his belief in the rotation of power between North and South, pointing to his record as governor of Anambra State where he implemented such practices.
Criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s reported 10-day trip to St. Lucia, Peter Obi remarked, “St. Lucia is no larger than Ilorin, the 10th largest city in Nigeria. Since taking office, President Tinubu has not spent a night outside Lagos in any other Nigerian state.”

On his strategy for the 2027 election, Peter Obi emphasized transparency and non-violence. “Our 2027 campaign will be peaceful but firm. We will insist on fairness before the final results are announced. This time, our votes will count,” he promised.
Peter Obi outlined his top priorities for the first 100 days in office: security, education, and poverty reduction. He also vowed to keep his family out of governance-related corruption and pledged to channel public funds into critical sectors.
“There will be zero tolerance for political defection. No elected official under my watch will jump parties,” Peter Obi added, stressing the need for discipline in political leadership.
Taking aim at the current administration, Peter Obi criticized its misplaced focus, saying, “While Nigerians are dying in places like Benue and Borno, our leaders are commissioning bus stops and vacationing abroad.”
For Peter Obi, the path to restoring Nigeria lies in integrity, cost-cutting, and anti-corruption reforms. “My record in Anambra speaks for itself. I was always present where there was crisis. Any true leader must be willing to sacrifice for the people,” he concluded. “Without a stable government, no one takes you seriously on the global stage.”
