Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reacted calmly to the impeachment notice issued against him by the Rivers State House of Assembly, describing the letter as a “love letter.” The governor made this statement while speaking at a public event in Port Harcourt, where he downplayed the impeachment move and treated it with humour.

He assured residents that the political tension would not distract him from his responsibility of governing the state, adding that his main focus remains the safety of lives and property and the development of Rivers State.
