A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jackson Lekan Ojo, has thrown his weight behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, stating that the party’s efforts to unseat the ruling APC in the 2027 elections are not only valid but necessary for Nigeria’s survival.
Ojo, a political affairs analyst, lambasted President Bola Tinubu’s administration, claiming it has plunged Nigeria into an unprecedented crisis. He asserted that the ADC coalition represents a viable alternative to rescue the nation from what he described as catastrophic governance.
“If past administrations were considered failures, then Tinubu’s government is a super failure,” Ojo declared during a radio programme monitored in Osogbo on Tuesday.

He further emphasized the dire state of the nation under the current regime, saying, “The economy is in ruins, security is non-existent, and daily survival has become a luxury. People are starving. N1,000 can’t even buy a bottle of stout anymore, talk less of sharing a meal with friends. That’s how bad things are.”

Ojo praised the ADC’s determination to challenge the status quo, noting that Nigeria can no longer continue under a system where checks and balances are nonfunctional and lawmakers act as mere rubber stamps.
“Nothing is working. The ADC has every reason to mobilize a coalition to save this country,” he said, reinforcing the call for change in 2027.
